This vacation destination is a part of our second series of blog posts titled K9 Kind.

With its Victorian charm and scenic coastline, Cape May, New Jersey is a beautiful destination not just for its views, but also as a perfect getaway for dog lovers.
Cape May is known for its pristine beaches, and Luie Boone reckons that there’s no better way to start your day than with a long walk along one of them. With the gentle waves lapping against the soft sand beneath your toes—and your pooch's paws—you can take a moment together to listen to the distant call of seagulls soaring through the sky before you travel beyond the beach and start your adventures of the day.
Beyond the beach, Cape May is home to shaded trails and wooded paths, which are perfect for a relaxing midday hike. Luie Boone would love sniffing through all the pine needles and trying to spot all different kinds of wildlife. Hopefully, he'll have some cool birds to tells his kitty brother, Tobi, all about it! Just be sure to bring water, especially on those warmer days.
Throughout town, you'll find charming small parks and public areas. These are great spots for a quick break or for a moment to soak in the laid-back atmosphere that defines Cape May.
When it’s time to eat, you’ll never eat alone, as many eateries feature patios that allow your dog to relax right at your feet. You pup is often rewarded with cool water and the occasional treat! Luie Boone loves a tasty treat!
As the evening falls, you can take a peaceful walk with your buddy through Cape May’s quiet, tree-lined streets. Luie Boone thinks that would be the perfect end to the day. The glow of vintage street lamps and distant ocean breeze will make it feel like you’ve both stepped right back in time.
Cape May will surely create memories that both you and your pup will treasure furever!

What does Luie Boone think of this rental? He woofed:
My humans are taking me on vacation to a place called "Blue Oasis" in Cape May. I haven’t sniffed it out yet, but I just know it’s going to be something special. From what I’ve heard, it’s a fancy, freshly renovated beach house just steps from the sand. My humans say it's literally five seconds from the deck to the beach! I bet I can zoom down there even faster! Inside the beach house it’s all shiny floors, big sunny windows, and plenty of cozy spots to flop down at after a full day of digging... and maybe chasing a seagull or two. I have to make my kitty brother proud! There are four bedrooms and two big decks, which means endless nap spots and top-tier squirrel-watching views. My humans keep calling it “modern, nautical, and upscale beach glam,” which sounds like a lot of words for “fancy, but still perfect for a pup.” There’s even a private garden to explore. I love gardens! We have one back home and, don't tell anyone, but I steal some strawberries, green beans, and tomatoes out of there! My humans say that's a big no-no at the beach house. I promise to behave. Blue Oasis, here I come!

Luie Boone's Pet Peeve about
Cape May, New Jersey
There's just so much to love about this vacation destination, but there's one thing that's got Luie Boone's leash in a twist. He woofed:
Want to hear some big tail-wagging news? My humans are planning a vacation to Cape May! There will be ocean air to sniff, sand beaches to walk along, and a bunch of seagulls to bark at. I am all in! I’ve already started daydreaming about rolling in the sand and begging for boardwalk fries. My humans say I can't have fries, but who's going to stop me from trying? Anyways, I heard that Cape May summers can get really hot, and suddenly my paws got nervous. When it’s 85°F out, the sidewalk can get really hot, like 130°F hot. I may be tough, but I’m not made for walking on frying pans. Burnt toes are no way to spend a vacation. So I’m packing smart, by throwing my booties in my suitcase. I might walk silly, but at least my paws will be safe! And, humans, let me tell you something: Please do the 7-second hand test! If it’s too hot for your hand, then it’s too hot for me. Cape May, I'm not here to sizzle. I’m here to splash, sniff, snooze, and snack!
