You and your pup deserve a break! Why don't you both take an adventure to Flagstaff, Arizona? This mountain town is known its stunning views and stargazing, as well as its super dog-friendly vibe.
There are many cozy cabins to choose from. They come equipped with dog beds, bowls, and welcome treats. Some spots even offer fenced-in yards, so your pup can roam safely when you relax.
If you and your pooch love the outdoors, then you'll be in adventure heaven! This is because Flagstaff offers scenic trails and vast terrain, which are perfect for exploring with your four-legged friend. Whether you're into forest hikes, mountain views, or peaceful meadows, there’s a trail for every energy level. Many paths are shaded and well-maintained. Some even lead to creeks or streams. We know Luie Boone would be taking a dip, so maybe your dog would love to, too. There are also off-leash parks where your dog can run freely, make friends, and play on agility equipment.
When it’s time to eat, you and your pooch can head to one of the many restaurants with dog-friendly patios. Several even throw in a few extras, like dog menus, water bowls, and treats for your furry dining companion. Some local spots host “Yappy Hours” or pup-themed weekends, so your dog can make even more friends!
And if you need to run errands, you’ll find shops, breweries, and even bookstores where well-behaved dogs are welcome to come inside. There are also pet boutiques stocked with locally made dog gear and gourmet treats. We all know where Luie Boone would be!
So leash up and hit the road, because Flagstaff’s waiting with wagging tails, open arms, and a whole lot of puppy love!

It features the following amenities:
Located on two vast acres (Luie Boone could spend hours sniffing around!)
A massive fenced in dog area
Fire pit and BBQ grill (Make sure to bring something to cook up for your furry friend. We know that Luie Boone would be expecting something tasty!)
Custom ping pong table (Hopefully, Luie Boone won't snatch the ping pong ball!)

What does Luie Boone think of this rental? He woofed:
This might just be the best dog-approved vacation rental in Flagstaff. Let’s get one thing out of the way: this place? Two whole acres! That’s right! More than enough space for sniffing adventures and squirrel surveillance. The best part? A massive fenced-in dog area, where I can run wild while my humans lounge by the fire pit, roasting s’mores (no chocolate for pups though—boo! I'll be snatching a marshmallow, so they better watch out.). As the Grand Canyon is only 1.5 hours away and the Cinder Hills is just around the corner, we will have endless fun and lots of good sniffs. After a full day of outdoor adventures, we can head into Flagstaff’s charming downtown which is perfect for a leisurely stroll. Back at the house, it will be game time! My humans can play ping pong on a handmade custom table. So while they play, I'll take that opportunity to stretch out on the cool wood floors made from local Ponderosa Pine. I hear that it smells like forest dreams! Hopefully, there's some squirrels in them dreams. There’s plenty of space inside with comfy spots to nap and the kind of peaceful quiet that makes you forget the mailman even exists! So if you’re looking for your next big adventure—and want to make sure your favorite four-legged friend (like me) has just as much fun—this is the spot.

Luie Boone's Pet Peeve about
Flagstaff, Arizona
There's just so much to love about this vacation destination, but there's one thing that's got Luie Boone's leash in a twist. He woofed:
Flagstaff sits at around 7,000 feet, and the air there is noticeably thinner. Dogs, myself included, may find that we are panting extra hard and needing more breaks on our hikes. Be sure that your humans pack wisely with plenty of water, as you will soon discover that a good water stop will be just as exciting as sniffing a new trail. Unlike other hot places, Flagstaff’s cool weather should keep my paws happy and free from burning pavement. However, please remember that us dogs need to take it a bit slower, as we get used to the high altitude and be sure we never run out of water on our hikes. In a nutshell, even though the high altitude will make me work a little harder for my adventures, it will also make every moment even more rewarding!
