What does Luie Boone think of this rental? He woofed:
This is a dream vacation for me! I have room to run, a river to splash in, and all the fresh mountain air that I could ever ask for! As a trail-exploring pup, I will love bounding along the mossy trails at the rental property, while my humans relax in the large hot tub, probably sipping something fancy that smells like a fruit salad. Meanwhile, I’ll be plotting my grand squirrel-chasing strategy—Operation Nutcracker! You see, I think I will spend most of my time zooming around the fully fenced-in part of the property, because let’s face it, those squirrels are practically taunting me! They’ll be up there, high in the trees, flicking their fluffy tails and laughing at my efforts to reach them. “Catch us if you can, Fido!” they’ll say, and I’ll be like, “Oh, just you wait!”
Paws Venture Here

Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest
At this national forest, there is more than 1,500 miles of hiking trails that you can share with your canine companion.

Poodle Dog Pass-Silver Lake-Twin Lakes Trail
This trail is a 11-mile hike, where the first four miles allow for a gentle stroll to an old mining town. Once past the town, the path will have you and your pooch ascending a series of switchbacks.

Surprise and Glacier Lakes
At the Surprise and Glacier Lakes, you can venture on an 11-mile hike with shaded woods. There are refreshing lakes at the trail's end, which provide you and your pup the perfect opportunity to stay cool on the pleasant hike.

Alpine Lakes Wilderness
This wilderness boasts approximately 394,000 acres in the Central Cascades Regions. The area is accessed by 47 trailheads and 615 miles of trails. More than 700 lakes and mountain ponds dot the glacier-carved terrain of this wilderness. It's Luie Boone's kind of place!

Deception Falls National Recreation Area
This is a short half-mile interpretive trail that takes you to a tumbling, multi-tiered waterfall. The water is quite powerful, so Luie Boone should expect to get a face full of mist. He's gonna bark about it!

Iron Goat Trail
Your buddy will enjoy this 6.0-mile loop trail, where the surface is gravel, natural, and paved bridge. Luie Boone says, "I hope you're not scared of heights!"

Beckler Peak
Hike 7.6 miles with your best friend at Beckler Peck. Reach the summit and you will get views for miles!

Bushel & Bee Taproom
For dog-friendly dining at Stevens Pass, consider Bushel & Bee Taproom. Dogs are welcome both inside and on the patio. Dog owners can bring their own food to pair with one of the ciders or beers on the menu. Luie Boone thinks there should be a doggy beer!
Luie Boone's Pet Peeve about
Stevens Pass-Skykomish, Washington
There's just so much to love about this vacation destination, but there's one thing that's got Luie Boone's leash in a twist. He woofed:
The Iron Goat Trail, located near Stevens Pass, is a beautiful, relaxing hike. It's one of the prettiest trails in Washington. Just be aware that you may end up seeing (or hearing) a little more than you bargained for if you choose to explore this area! It's often called a "haunted hike." This is because of a sad event that happened way back in 1910, when a massive avalanche struck two trains that were attempting to cross the Cascade Crest. It resulted in the deaths of 96 people. The area is now a scenic hiking trail, but some hikers have reported hearing screams and other sounds, particularly inside the trail's tunnel. The tunnel is super dark! Make sure that your humans brings a strong headlamp or flashlight. I will bring my flashing, orange collar! It can also get chilly in there, so it's best to wear warm clothes. I will be wearing my orange jacket! As we hike on Iron Goat Trail, we will be sure to take a moment to honor the memory of those who lost their lives in the tragic avalanche of 1910. Their spirits remind us of the beauty and the solemn history that this trail holds.
