With breathtaking views of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains, a spacious deck overlooking the city lights, a private hot tub, and a putting green, it sounded like the perfect family adventure. The fully equipped kitchen promised delicious meals, while the game room with its pool table offered plenty of fun for my humans. Best of all, Frank Ortiz Dog Park, a sprawling 138-acre park, was just a four-minute stroll away. I could only imagine the wonderful walks, exciting new smells, and memories we would make together. But before we could make the trip, I crossed the Rainbow Bridge, leaving my humans with broken hearts. As beautiful as this vacation home was, they couldn’t imagine enjoying its mountain views, cozy fireplace, inviting patios, or peaceful evenings without me by their side. I wasn’t just their dog; I was family, and no destination could replace the joy of sharing life’s adventures together. So, Santa Fe would have to wait. Someday, perhaps, my humans will watch the sunset from that beautiful deck and remember me with a smile. Until then, I’ll be waiting across the Rainbow Bridge, where the fields are endless, the sunshine is warm, and one day, we’ll be together again

Luie Boone's Pet Peeve about
Santa Fe, New Mexico
There's just so much to love about this vacation destination, but there's one thing that would have put Luie Boone's leash in a twist and he would have woofed:
My humans had planned a vacation to Santa Fe, New Mexico, a beautiful city known for its adobe buildings, colorful art, delicious Southwestern food, and stunning desert scenery. I was supposed to join them on this adventure, and I could only imagine all the new smells and trails we would have explored together. But then there were the cacti! Those funny-looking desert plants were covered in sharp prickles, and I could just picture myself thinking, “That cactus is trying to hurt me!” I would have wanted to sniff everything without getting poked in my precious paws! Sadly, before our planned vacation ever happened, I crossed the Rainbow Bridge, and my humans and I never got to take the trip. I hoped they would still smile when they imagined how I might have reacted to all those prickly plants in Santa Fe. Now, I like to imagine myself running through beautiful green meadows beyond the Rainbow Bridge, sniffing flowers and exploring endless trails without a single cactus in sight. Until we can all meet again, I'll be waiting with happy paws, a wagging tail, and absolutely no prickles in sight.
