Lake Tahoe, with its stunning blue waters and mountain surroundings, is a paradise for both dogs and people—regardless of the season!
Located between the border of eastern California and western Nevada, Lake Tahoe is a clear, large freshwater lake set in the majestic Sierra Nevada.
There are plenty of activities for people, and numerous spots to have fun with your pup. We would be taking Luie Boone everywhere with us!
Hundreds of pooch owners visit Lake Tahoe each and every year with their best barking buddy by their side! Why don't you become the next?

Paws Rest Here
Luie Boone paw-selected this perfect vacation rental for your stay at Lake Tahoe, California. Check it out below!
Rental Name: West Shore Tahoe
This rental has 3 bedrooms with 5 beds and 4.5 baths.

It features the following amenities:
Fronts a private sandy beach
Main deck with a gas BBQ
Beach chairs and two kayaks provided (Luie Boone would most definitely cause a kayak to tip over, taking his human buddies with him!)
Close to State Parks, which you can hike with your dog

What does Luie Boone think of this rental? He woofed:
We are going to Black Bear Country, but we have no need to fear as bears are naturally afraid of us and easily scared off. When we are done cooking out on the BBQ grill at the rental, we will be sure to clean the grill and have the fire burn off all of the food particles, so a bear is not tempted by the tasty smells! As bears are awfully strong swimmers, we will be sure to watch out for them when we are enjoying time on the lake. We will keep all windows and doors locked at night, as bears are also really great climbers. I will keep my food dish inside, as bears have good sniffers on them (just like me)! When we go for walks, we will make a lot of noise. If we do run into a bear, we will not run away. We will slowly back off and leave the bear an escape path. It's important to remember that bear attacks are very rare, so we will just have to be smarter than the average bear! Thanks, Yogi Bear, for the advice.

Luie Boone's Pet Peeve about
Lake Tahoe, California
There's just so much to love about this vacation destination, but there's one thing that's got Luie Boone's leash in a twist. He woofed:
A plunge into Lake Tahoe can literally take your breath away! It may be warm outside, but Lake Tahoe water is always cold. As I am a Lab and love water… I will always want to jump right in any lake I see. I might think I'm used to cold water, but Lake Tahoe's water might quickly weaken me due to it's cold temperature, so I need to be careful. My owners need to be, too.
